Buttafuoco. Firebreather.
A colourful name for a wine with its own distinct and vibrant character. It is the native wine.
It combines the charm of Croatina, the freshness of Barbera and the fragrances and luminous colours of Uva Rara with the spiciness of Ughetta di Canneto, in a wine rich in local history.
You will discover the interpretations of two winemakers, Marco Maggi, the president of the Club, and Giulio Fiamberti.

These are the native grape varieties with which true Buttafuoco can be made.
This wine represents the history of the Oltrepò, and is made only in 7 comuni: Stradella, Broni, Canneto Pavese, Montescano, Castana, Cigognola, Pietra de’ Giorgi.

This area is the watershed between the Versa and Scuropasso rivers, a chain of jagged hills at 350 meters above sea leavel.
Following the path laid out by the hills, you will discover the historical wine estates that make Buttafuoco, and you will taste diverse expressions of the Oltrepò’s great red.
